Patient guide

How to prepare for your lab test, what to bring and how results work.

Before your visit

Four things to do before you come

01

Message us first

Tell us the test on WhatsApp so we can confirm availability and price.

02

Check fasting

Some blood tests need 8 to 12 hours without food. Water is usually fine.

03

No referral needed

Just walk in and tell us the test you want.

04

Keep taking medicines

Unless your doctor says otherwise. Tell us what you take.

Samples

Giving a sample: what to expect

Blood samples

A small sample is taken from a vein in your arm. Wear sleeves that roll up easily, drink water (unless told otherwise) and tell us if you feel faint with needles.

About blood tests

Urine samples

Use the sterile container we give you. Wash your hands, start urinating into the toilet, then collect the middle part of the stream. Close the lid tightly and bring it in promptly.

About urine tests

Stool samples

Collect a small amount using the scoop in the container. Avoid mixing with urine or water. Close the lid and bring it to the lab as soon as possible, ideally within a few hours.

Getting and understanding your results

When we take your sample, we'll tell you when your results will be ready and how to collect them. Results are confidential and shared only with you or the doctor you name.

Lab results are one part of the picture. Always review them with your doctor, who can explain what they mean for you.
